On January 19, 2022 Canada held a new Express Entry draw inviting 1,036 immigration Candidates to apply for permanent residence.
- Draw number: 214
- Draw date: January 19th, 2022
- Immigration program: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates only
- CRS score cut off: 745
- Number of candidates invited to apply: 1036 ITAs issued
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) only invited candidates from the Provincial Immigration Program (PNP). For this reason, the threshold value of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 745 points. PNP candidates receive 600 points, which are automatically added to their scores when they receive a nomination, so the score seems high.
All Express Entry draws since September have been for PNP candidates only. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates were last invited on September 14th.
So far in 2022, IRCC has invited a total of 1,428 PNP candidates through Express Entry. Generally speaking, the CRS threshold has been in the 700-800 range for the last 10 PNP-specific EE draws. Today’s cap of 745 was lower than the 808 CRS requirement for the first draw of this year on January 5th.
