On November 9th Canada held the new draw. Alberta invited 200 express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR).
200 express entry candidates with the minimum Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score of 343 received the invitation from Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) in the Express entry system. The last draw is the first of many with a cut-off score greater than 300, which is the minimum required to be eligible for the Alberta Express Entry stream.
Alberta has now invited 6,359 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination since the invitation rounds resumed in January 2021. The province has taken a temporary hiatus in the final months of 2020. Candidates from the pool Express Entry are encouraged to apply for a certificate of nomination by the province of Alberta through regular draws, receipt of which will greatly support their application for permanent residence.
This year, Alberta is authorized to issue 6,250 certificates of appointment. Since the number of invitations issued has now exceeded the number of certificates of appointment that can be granted, the province may have completed issuing invitations for the current year.
