123 Express Entry, Labor Impact, and Business Impact candidates invited by Prince Edward Island in first 2020 draw

Yet another province releases its draw for eligible Immigration candidates who have shown Expression of Interest in moving to and settling in Prince Edward Island in the latest draw. 123 candidates have been selected through Express Entry, Labor Impact, and Business Impact categories in the years first released draw.
Out of all the invitations issued 110 invitations went to candidates from the Express Entry and Labor Impact categories for Canada PR. Prince Edward Island’s Express Entry Category is directly connected to the Federal Express Entry System, managing the pool of applicants from Canada’s immigration categories namely Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. All candidates who have received an ITA are given an additional 600 points towards their Federal Comprehensive Ranking system scores which indeed guarantees an ITA for Canada PR from IRCC, Canada in the coming draw.
What needs to be done In order to be considered for a Nomination?
To be eligible for consideration for PEI PNP under Express Entry sub category, candidates need to submit a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) for Prince Edward Island. EOI profiles awards candidates with a score according to PEI’s point’s grid. The highest ranked candidates are invited to apply through frequent draws. The government of Prince Edward Island does not reveal the breakdown of the total invitations or the minimum score required for the candidates to receive an ITA.
Other than the Express Entry and the Labor Impact Category, Business Impact category was also a part of the total number of invitations issued as on 20th January 2020.
Labor Impact Category
The Labor Impact Category is for foreign nationals with a valid job offer from the province and an additional support from a PEI employer divided into three streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker and International Graduate.Submitting an EOI profile is mandatory for provincial nomination through the Labor Impact Category.
Business Impact: Work Permit Stream
13 invitations went to candidates with an EOI profile in PEI’s Business Impact: Work Permit Stream. Candidates with minimum score of 125 were issued Invitation in the draw.The Work Permit Stream is for individuals who are interested in owning and operating a business on PEI.
