150 Immigration Candidates Selected In New Draw to Apply PEIPNP

The province of Prince Edward Island has issued 150 new invitations to candidates under PEI’s Express Entry, Labor Impact and Business Impact immigration categories in the draw held on 21st March 2019. This draw was held for candidates who have submitted an Expression of interest for the province.
131 invitations were issued to Express Entry and Labor Impact candidates under PEI’s provincial nominee program for Canadian permanent residence and 19 invitations were issued to business impact; work permit stream category for letter of support for temporary work permit visa.
Express Entry, Labor Impact invitations
PEI’s Express Entry category manages the federal Express Entry system handling candidates for three main economic immigration categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. Let’s look at the stepwise process;
- Complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the PEI PNP.
- They are given an EOI score out of 100 based on factors such as education, work experience and proficiency in English or French. The highest scoring candidates are invited to apply for PNP through monthly draws.
- Candidates who receive a ITA are granted 600 extra points towards CRS score
*Candidates for these streams should essentially have an eligible full-time job offer from an employer in the province
