OINP issues 6,850 nominations partially to express entry candidates and partially to high-tech workers.
OINP is the major factor of the federal Provincial Nominee Program in comparison to other partaking provinces and territories to contribute towards the economic immigration program. The details published as on 22nd February states that the nominations granted by Ontario will convert into 13,571 new immigrants along with accompanying spouses and dependents.
Three immigration streams are associated with the Express Entry system under OINP— Human Capital Priorities, French-Speaking Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades. The stream allows the province to search candidates from Express entry pool according to their set eligibility criteria.
