This is the first time since 8th December 2015 that a decreased draw has been released on Tuesday.
Express Entry System is Canada’s major resource through which the country fills in the labour market gaps, therefore, all suitable candidates enter the Express Entry Pool where they are issued scores towards their Comprehensive Ranking System scores based on six major factors that are Age, Education, Work Experience, Language proficiency, Arranged Employment and relatives in Canada. The candidate who scores the maximum in these six criteria’s are issued with an ITA ensuring 90%guarantee of visa approval. To be able to enter the Express Entry pool, candidates should meet the eligibility requirements of any of the three economic-class immigration categories —the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
IRCC applied a tie break rule in the August 20 draw; candidates had to have proposed their profiles before March 24, 2019, at 15:32:42 UTC. 3,600 invitations have been issued in the latest draw calculating the total no. of invitations in 2019 to 56,200. “With Canada’s high immigration targets for 2019 and 2020, it is invigorating to observe Express Entry draw happening so soon after another,” said David Cohen, senior partner with the Campbell, Cohen Canadian immigration law firm in Montreal. “Larger or more frequent draws can have the effect of lowering the CRS score cut off.”
