Canada held its first all-program draw since the start of the pandemic

Canada in its first all-program draw since March 4, has invited a total of 3,900 Express entry candidates for Canada PR Visa in the round of invitations held on July 8. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was set at 478 points.

Express entry program manages the profiles of the immigrants who have applied for Canada PR Visa through three major federal economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

With a provincial nomination, express entry candidates are awarded 600 CRS points, effectively guaranteeing an ITA to apply for Canada PR Visa to the IRCC.

Since the travel restrictions were placed by the Canadian government, IRCC – Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada has been inviting only – Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates and express entry candidates with the provincial nomination.

The previous all program express entry draw had the CRS score cut-off set at 471 points which is 7 points less than the latest express entry draw CRS score cut-off set at 478 points.

With their tie-break rule, IRCC used the time-stamp which was February 11, at 13:08:31 UTC. This means the express entry candidates with the minimum CRS score of 478 points who have entered the express entry pool before the used time stamp, were invited in the latest express entry draw.
