Ontario first time announces Tech Draw inviting more than 1,600 candidates with minimum CRS scores of 439

Tech freaks, here’s a good news for all aspiring candidates waiting for the right opportunity. Ontario, one of the most popular provinces in Canada has carried out its first Tech Draw as on 12th July 2019 inviting 1,623 candidates with express entry profile who has eligible work experience in any of the below mentioned profiles for Canada PR through PNP. Applicants invited in this draw had CRS scores ranging from 439 to 459 who entered their profiles in the Express Entry pool between the dates of 12th July 2018, to 12th July 2019.
OINP Tech Draw was conducted through Human Capital Priorities immigration stream allows the province to search candidates in the Express Entry pool meeting the eligibility criteria. Another highlight of the OINP program is that job offer is no where a mandatory requirement to be eligible under this subclass.
Tech professionals meeting the Human Capital Priorities Stream’s eligibility condition and have minimum one year of continuous paid full-time work experience in one of the following six tech occupations received invitations in this draw:
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
- Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)
“This first tech draw welcomes eligible Express Entry candidates not meeting the released cut-off scores in recent draws,” said David Cohen. Ontario is abode of several major tech hubs, remarkably in cities like Toronto, Ottawa and Waterloo. Tech companies in Toronto alone created more tech jobs than the San Francisco Bay area in 2017, according to the CBRE Group.
