Saskatchewan issues 596 invitations to candidates of Express Entry and Occupations in demand category

Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program releases its first draw for the year 2019 for two sub-categories; Express Entry Stream and Occupations – in – Demand stream. Out of 596, 362 invitations went to Express Entry sub-category which indeed is connected to our Federal Skilled Express Entry program allowing the government of Saskatchewan to cherry-pick suitable candidates for Canada PR and the remaining 234 invitations went to candidates falling in the Occupations in demand category which as the name suggests means that the category is for foreign workers with work experience in one of the relevant occupation of the in demand occupation list. The qualifying points for Saskatchewan is 60 out of 100, however, the lowest score drawn in the January 16^th release was 63 for Express Entry stream candidates and 66 for In demand occupation list category.

Once SINP invites any of the applicants from the express entry sub category, straightaway they are granted 600 additional points towards thei CRS scores, effectively ensuring invitation from the government of Canada. The icing on the cake is that job offer from Canadian Employer is not required to be eligible under either of the pathways to be able to receive an invitation from Saskatchewan government. Documents required being able to apply for SINP:

• Legal documents validating resident status
• Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
• One year of post secondary education from a Canadian equivalent recognized educational institution.
• At least one-year of paid work experience in the past ten years related to the relevant field of education or training, in a highly-skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B)
• License proof of professional operation in Saskatchewan
• Proof of sufficient funds required by Saskatchewan

SASKATCHEWAN IMMIGRATION PROCESSING TIME 2019

The approximate processing time for SINP is 4 to 5 months, however, Occupation In-Demand Category takes approximately 4 – 5 months and Saskatchewan Express Entry category takes approximately 4 months. Kindly note that Processing time of SINP varies a lot depending upon the nature of the application along with the profile chosen.
