With close to 6,000 immigrants invited for a provincial nomination by BC PNP, the latest round of invitations sees a total of 302 invitations issued to the candidates registered under Skills Workers and International graduates categories: Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC).
Skills Immigration category is for skilled and semi-skilled immigrants whose occupation is in high demand in the province.
The minimum score required for today’s provincial draw was between 76 to 98 points for five EEBC and SI categories that were involved. Minimum scores required were as follows:
- SI – Skilled Worker: 96
- SI – International Graduate: 98
- SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 76
- EEBC – Skilled Worker: 96
- EEBC – International Graduate: 98
To get an invitation through BC PNP’s EEBC category, candidate is required to have a valid profile under both the federal government’s express entry program and Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
BC PNP has held three provincial draws this month this also includes a Tech draw held on August 11. They have decided to extend the Tech Pilot until June 2021. Through tech draws, British Columbia is able to address the labour demands in the province’s tech sector.
