  • Arranged Employment (Maximum 10 points):You will be awarded points if you have a valid full-time job offer from an eligible employer.
  • Adaptability (Maximum 10 points):If you are moving to Canada with your spouse, then you will point based on your spouse’s qualifications like age, language proficiency, work experience, etc.

Arranged Employment

You must have a valid job offer from an eligible Canadian employer. For a job offer to be valid, it has to be :

  • Continuous, paid, full-time work (minimum of 30 hours/week) for at least one year
  • In a skilled occupation listed as NOC Skill Type 0, A or B.

You will get the maximum 10 points if you can meet any one of the following one situations:

Situation 1:

You must be working in Canada on a work permit and meet all of the following conditions:

  • The work permit must be valid when you apply and get your PR Visa.
  • The work permit is issued based on a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada in an occupation listed under NOC Skill level 0, A or B.
  • Must be working for the same employer whose name is listed on the work permit.
  • The employer has to offer you the job after recognizing you as a skilled worker
Situation 2:

You must be working in Canada in a job that is LMIA exempted because of any one of the following:

  • An International agreement OR
  • A significant benefit to Canadian interests OR
  • A federal-provincial agreement

You have to also meet all the following conditions:

  • The work permit must be valid when you apply and get your PR Visa.
  • The employer has to offer you the job after recognizing you as a skilled worker
  • Must be working for the same employer whose name is listed on the work permit.
  • Must be working for the employer for minimum of one year, continuous full-time or part-time equivalent
Situation 3:

You must meet all the following conditions:

  • Don’t have a work permit, or don’t want to work in Canada before your PR Visa
  • An employer has an LMIA
  • The employer has to offer you the job based on LMIA and after recognizing you as a skilled worker
Situation 4:

You must meet all the following conditions:

  • Have a work permit or are allowed to work in the country without the work permit
  • Currently working in an occupation that is exempted from an LMIA, but it is not under an international, federal-provincial agreement or because of the benefits to Canadian interests.
  • Another employer has an LMIA and made you a valid job-offer based on that LMIA and after recognizing you as a skilled worker
