On September 15, BC PNP held a provincial draw that issued a total of 407 invitations to candidates who have applied for provincial nomination through BC PNP’s categories: Express Entry (EEBC) stream specifically Skilled Worker, International Graduate, as well as the Entry-level and Semi-skilled categories.
The minimum points required was set between 75 to 95 points. EEBC category is an “enhanced” stream that allows the express entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The SI category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in-high demand in the province.
To apply for BC PNP nomination, candidate is required to register through SIRS where their profiles are awarded points based on their credentials. Profiles with the highest scores are then issued invitations through regularly held round of invitations.
British Columbia held weekly provincial draws, with the previous one taking place on September 8. In this year, BCPNP has invited over 6,000 immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination through regular provincial and Tech Pilot draws.
Tech Pilot applicants are exempt from the permanent full-time job offer requirement that is requirement under various categories of BC PNP. However, Tech Pilot applicants must demonstrate a job offer minimum of one year and remains at least 120 calendar days at the time they apply for a provincial appointment.
