On February 2, 2022 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its new Express Entry round of Invitations.
Canada invited 1070 PNP candidates in the Express Entry pool to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) only invited Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score requirement for the invited candidates was 674 points. PNP applicants automatically get 600 points added to their score when they receive their nomination, which is why the score is significantly higher than a typical draw for all programs. Without the nomination, the candidate with the lowest score would have needed only 74 base CRS points.
The new draw breaks the record for the largest PNP-only draw, beating the January 19 draw when 1,036 PNP contestants were invited.
Invited candidates now have 60 days to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
