In the third Tech draw of the year, OINP invited a total of 1,288 immigrants who have work experience in one of six in-demand occupations, in the largest OINP draw of the year held on July 29. To be invited in this latest draw, candidates were required to have the CRS score between 463 and 477 points.
Job-offer is not required, but candidates need to have work experience of minimum one year in any one of the following occupations:
- Computer and information systems manager (NOC 0213)
- Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmer and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
Candidates are also required to have a profile in the federal government’s Express entry program. Express Entry candidates with provincial nominations are awarded 600 CRS, guaranteeing an ITA to submit their application for Canada PR Visa to the IRCC.
OINP Technical Draws take advantage of the Express Entry pool of candidates, inviting eligible technology workers to apply for Ontario Provincial Nomination. Once the process is complete, applicants will have the opportunity to settle into their tech careers in Ontario.
“Through this dedicated approach, we are helping to make it easier for tech companies to recruit top talent from around the world,” the OINP said in a press release.
