A great start for hopeful Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program applicants – 626 invitations
17th January draw issued some invitations to candidates from the express entry stream which is linked to the federal Express Entry system, which handles three main federal economic immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canadian Experience Class. Skilled Workers Overseas is an Express Entry-linked immigration module allowing Manitoba, one of the nine provinces to appoint appropriate Express Entry entrants for acquiring Canada PR. Once a candidate is issued with an ITA from Manitoba, the applicant is immediately awarded with 600 additional points towards their Express Entry ranking score which guarantees an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence candidate. All the express entry candidates who are interested to file their application under MPNP must register a separate EOI on factors based on education, age, experience, language etc. The score of the lowest-ranked Skilled Workers Overseas candidate in the two groups above was 575; however, the minimum score for candidates invited through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative was 729.
