183 Invitations Issued By Manitoba To Skilled Workers And International Graduates In The Latest Released Draw

183 Skilled Workers and International Graduates once again called by Manitoba in the latest draw released by Manitoba as on 19th December 2019. Candidates who submitted an Expression of Interest profile received invitations in this draw segregating the total invitations between Skilled Worker in Manitoba, the Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education Stream.

Total invitations or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were divided into the following:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 149
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 17
  • International Education Stream: 17

This draw released by Manitoba brings in the total number of LAAs to 7,545 for the year 2019.

Through Express Entry System

Out of all the 183 invitations issued, 17 went to candidates having a profile in the Express Entry system Pool wherein Canada’s three main Economic-Class immigration categories: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class are managed together. Candidates are ranked in this pool on the basis of Human Capital factors such as age, work experience, education, language ability, job offer etc.. The applicants with the highest score in Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) point calculator are invited through regular draw. Candidates with an LAA from any of the province are awarded an extra 600 points towards their CRS points which indeed ensures an invitation in the upcoming Express Entry Draw.

To be considered for a provincial nomination from Manitoba, Express Entry candidates must have adequate work experience in one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations to be eligible for a Letter of Advice to Apply.

Through Expression of Interest

To be eligible for a LAA from Manitoba through Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas categories applicants needs to register their profile with an Expression of Interest for the province of Manitoba.

An Expression Of Interest is an online summary of a candidate who are given scores on the basis of their age, work experience, educational Qualification, connections in Manitoba, language proficiency etc. out of 1000 points. In the latest draw released by the government of Manitoba candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba with minimum score of 542 or more whereas candidates under the skilled Worker Overseas stream with minimum score of 559 or more have been invited this time.

Through Skilled Worker Overseas and Skilled Worker in Manitoba

Skilled Worker Overseas Category permits Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program to choose foreign professionals with adequate experience as per the requirement of the province of Manitoba. Candidates along with experience needs to provide proofs of connections in Manitoba like close family or friends, previous education or work experience or invitation from one of the MPNP Strategic Recruitment Initiatives etc.. 17 candidates have been directly invited through the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream by MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

They do not need to be in Manitoba at the time of application in order to qualify.

Candidates invited through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category must be working in Manitoba and have a full-time, permanent job offer from their employer, among other criteria.

Through International Education Stream

Graduates from Manitoba falls under this category. Candidates fulfilling the in-demand skills and requirements are issued invitations under the International Education Stream. This stream embraces three sub-categories: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the Student Entrepreneur Pathway.
