IRCC, Canada sets a record of issuing 89,800 Invitations with the announcement of the lowest score of 439 as on 19th December, 2018. A total of 3,900 invitations issued to Canada Permanent Resident candidates in the draw issued the previous day.
The cut off has dropped below 440 for the first time in the year 2018. Lesser the time is between draws, lesser the candidates have a chance to apply the Express Entry pool. When this is pooled with a large draw size, the consequence is a reduced minimum score.
The Express Entry system manages three Federal Skilled Economic Immigration Programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. CRS Scoring is done on the basis of aspects such as age, education, work experience and proficiency in English or French. This score decide their rank in the Express Entry pool.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) used its tie-break rule in the December 19 draw. The time stamp used was February 6, 2018, at 19:31:37 UTC. This means that all candidates with CRS score above 439, as well as those candidates with scores of 439 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before February 6, 2018, at 19:31:37 UTC, received an ITA in this invitation round.
The invitation record of Express entry fulfills Canada’s increased admissions target through its Federal High Skilled immigration category dream into a thorough reality. In the year 2017 the number of invitations till date was 86,023, however, in the current year of 2018 the number of invitations till date is remarkably higher with 89,800 ITA’s.
